This 101 is a newly offered two-hour Real Estate Continuing Education Course taught by ASHI Certified Home Inspector, James Jones, owner of Home Commercial Inspections LLC. With 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, James understands that structural and mechanical repairs can easily cost thousands of dollars and believes that no property owner should have to face unexpected costs that a quality inspection process could have easily been identified and resolved before the contract is signed. He is committed to helping real estate agents become familiar and confident with fundamental construction topics as well as the home inspection process, which is a crucial part of any real-estate transaction. The course will cover the following topics: Ohio Revised Code’s Home Inspector Program, Construction Fundamentals, ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) Standard of Practice, Inspection Limitations, Interpreting Inspection Reports, and Pre-listing Inspection Value.
